Request for Proposals: Logo Designs

Michigan United and Michigan People’s Campaign seek proposals from forward-thinking individuals, organizations or firms for new graphic logos that will establish more dynamic brand color sets and font styles.  

 

About Michigan United: Michigan United, 501(c)3 nonprofit,  is a broad, statewide coalition working to reform our broken immigration system, protect our environment and end mass incarceration. We develop the leadership of our members to eradicate the root causes of racial and economic injustice. 

 

About Michigan People’s Campaign: Michigan People’s Campaign, a 501(c)4 nonprofit, is a statewide organization that is building a movement to put people and the planet before profits, forge a more just and sustainable future, foster participatory democracy at every level, create an economy that works for the many and a society that dismantles racism while uplifting our common humanity. 

 

Overview/Goals: In consultation with key stakeholders at the organizations, the graphic designer(s) will develop distinct yet similar logos for Michigan United and Michigan People’s Campaign. The organizations desire more relevant, impactful, and current logos that accurately represent their brands and are unique among similar organizations. The logos should complement the organizations’ new websites, for which the organizations have issued a separate RFP

 

Scope of Work: 

  • Project will extend from concept to creation

  • 2-3 concepts for a new logo for both organizations (Total: 4-5)

  • Minimum of two revisions of selected logos

  • Final digital file in vector format of approved logos and any variations in full-color, single color and grayscale format

  • Secondary set of colors to complement logo colors

  • Logo font files

 

Proposals should include:

  • Description/Qualifications

    • Include contact name, email, and phone number

    • Description of you/your agency, including approach and philosophy

    • If the applicant is a firm, include organization structure, office location(s)

    • Examples of past work

    • Two current references

  • Proposed Timeline (Desired completion date: Fall 2023)

  • Project Budget

  • Proposed Fee Structure

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Graphic design experience

  • Experience working within social justice movements

  • Strong commitment to social, racial, economic and environmental justice


Submission instructions: Please submit an electronic copy of your complete proposal to dhopkins@mipeoples.org by June 11, 2023. We expect to evaluate proposals and make a selection within three weeks following the deadline.
